Arsenal’s new signing Fabio Vieira has insisted he will “work, work, work” after his £ 30million and add-on deal, as he hopes the Premier League is tough.
Portuguese club Porto confirmed in a statement on Friday that the 22-year-old was leaving to join Arsenal.
Vieira, a highly regarded midfielder who scored 14 assists in the Premier League last season to help Porto win the title, shortened his holiday in Mykonos to seal the deal.

The 22-year-old former Porto midfielder has promised the Gunners fans that he will work hard.
Speaking about his move to the Emirates, the midfielder told the Daily Mirror: “I was always happy in Porto, but this opportunity is important for any professional.
“Playing in the Premier League will not be easy and I just promise to work, work, work.
“My agent worked on the agreement between the two clubs and I accepted the agreement because it was important for all parties.
“I’ve always watched the Premier League on TV.”
The Gunners have not yet confirmed the agreement for midfielder Vieira, but he has already completed his medical examination
The Gunners have not yet officially confirmed the deal, but have completed a medical examination at the London Colney club’s training ground.
Vieira, a versatile offensive midfielder, moved to the youth team at Porto and helped them win the Portuguese title last season.
The Portuguese under-21 international enjoyed a very successful year last season, scoring six goals and 14 assists in 27 league appearances with Porto to help the club secure its 30th league title.
No Arsenal player has scored in as many goals during the 2021-22 Premier League campaign and Vieira joins a promising group of creative talents such as Emile Smith Rowe, Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard.
Arteta has already signed teenage striker Marquinhos and Vieira’s arrival is a big boost, as Arsenal’s Big Six rivals have moved quickly to strengthen in key areas.
