The international manhunt is on for the man who threw acid at TV presenter Katie Piper after he was recalled to prison for breaching his license conditions.
Stefan Sylvestre, from Shepherd’s Bush, west London, was jailed for life in 2009 for the attack and told he must serve a minimum of six years before being eligible for parole.
He was released in 2018 when he was 30 years old. Police said he was notified on Friday, September 23 that he had been taken into custody for breaching his license conditions.
Inquiries so far indicate that Sylvestre left the UK on Tuesday, August 2, the Metropolitan Police said.

“Officers from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command are continuing to work with partner agencies to trace and arrest him,” a Scotland Yard spokesman said.
A Probation Service spokeswoman said on Sunday: “We are working urgently with the police to bring the offender to prison where he will face more time behind bars.”
Police said he should not be approached as they released a new image in the hope they could be located.

Piper suffered horrific injuries in the acid attack that left her permanently scarred.
She was left fighting for her life after obsessive ex-boyfriend Daniel Lynch arranged for Sylvestre to release the corrosive liquid in March 2008.
Lynch was jailed for life with a minimum of 16 years for sexually assaulting Piper and telling Sylvestre to throw acid on her.
The pair had dated briefly before steroid-fuelled martial arts enthusiast Lynch, who had a previous conviction for pouring boiling water over a man, became obsessively jealous.
In court, Judge Nicholas Browne QC told Lynch and Sylvestre they were “the face of pure evil”.
