The new claims, published in Varietyit came after Hammer’s representatives last week denied he was working as a hotel bellboy, explaining that the confusion was simply because Hammer’s friends were joking with him.
Variety cites a source who claims Hammer is currently selling timeshare in a Cayman Islands hotel, where he has been based in recent years.
“He works at the complex and sells timeshare. He’s working in a cubicle,” the source said. “The reality is he’s totally broken and he’s trying to fill the days and make money to support his family.”
Hammer was initially spotted outside the timeshare sales office in late June after reports he was working there.
A photo shows the actor dressed in a blue polo shirt while working in the office, and viewers reported that he was sitting with a partner and checking the price of a unit.
According to reports, holidaymakers were lured into visiting the timeshare office through a brochure that promised discounts for excursions to the Cayman Islands.

The source also said Hammer, who lives in the Cayman Islands to be closer to his ex-wife Elizabeth Chalmers and their two children, previously worked as an apartment complex manager.
The claims that the actor is “totally broken” would be a surprise given his multimillion-dollar career in Hollywood and the fact that his great-grandfather was oil tycoon Armand Hammer, with the family’s fortune estimated at hundreds of millions of dollars.
