It was more misery for Manchester United after suffering a humiliating 4-0 defeat against Brentford on Saturday night.
Brentford took the lead when Josh Dasilva’s shot was pushed into the back of his net by David De Gea. They then doubled their lead after a poor pass from the Spaniard to Christian Eriksen, who failed to sense the attacking Mathias Jensen who dispossessed his former team-mate before firing over.
Ben Mee bagged home a third, before Brentford made it four after a brilliant strike that saw Bryan Mbeumo calmly slot home after he was found by fellow striker Ivan Toney.
