The NSW treasurer erased his government’s action on climate change in today’s budget.
“We may be a sunburned country, but we are also a sun-blessed country,” he said.
“Climate change is an intergenerational challenge that requires a single response per generation.
“The government has pledged $ 1.2 billion to set up a transmission acceleration facility, which will accelerate NSW’s move to a renewable energy plant,” Kean said.
NSW will be “a leader in a low-carbon world,” he said.
