Koechner was seen swerving and detained where an officer smelled alcohol on his breath, a source told TMZ.
He was fined for the incident and will appear in court in July.
The actor was in Ohio hosting a trivia night for The Office, where he played Todd Packer in Ironton.
On New Year’s Eve, Koechner was charged with a DUI and a hit-and-run for allegedly crashing his car into Simi Valley, California.
Ventura County police said both charges are misdemeanors.
He allegedly crashed his car into a street sign and suspended his breathalyzer test.
The star could face up to six months in prison for each charge, according to TMZ.
Koechner could be given a mandate to complete an alcohol education course.
Perhaps best known for playing Champ Kind in Anchorman films.
He appeared in less than 15 episodes during nine seasons of The Office, but Koechner said he was instantly recognized as his Champ Kind character.
“After doing one or two episodes of this show, it became the second one that everyone put on when they referred me,” he told CBS News in 2013.
“For seven years, I think I only did 14 episodes, like two a year. This character is very memorable.”
Koechner also starred in Saturday Night Live between 1995 and 1996 alongside comedians Nancy Walls and Adam McKay.
He was only on the show for one season and admitted that he missed it
The actor told Breeze TV in 2016: “SNL is an exciting place. Every week there is something new that will be unexpected.
“You’re going to create something that week that will only exist that week with this group of people and this time, which is so much fun.”
Koechner also appeared in the ABC series The Goldbergs where he played Bill Lewis.
