Paul McCartney performs at Glastonbury 2022
Saturday in Glastonbury saw some of the best sets of the weekend so far.
From Joy Crookes making her Worthy Farm debut to returning champion Haim in a glorious, sunny performance at the Pyramid Stage, there was a particularly special atmosphere ahead of the long-awaited starter Sir Paul McCartney.
Other great shows came from Glass Animals, Metronomy, Celeste and Gen-Z pop star Olivia Rodrigo, who stormed the Other Stage with a surprise appearance by Lily Allen. Playing Allen’s 2012 hit “F *** You,” the duo appealed to the Supreme Court for its annulment of Roe vs. Wade in the United States.
Climbing the Pyramid Stage just before Macca, Noel Gallagher and his High Flying Birds performed a series of Oasis hits that pleased the crowd, prompting critic Mark Beaumont to wonder if the gloves were ‘they had completely withdrawn in their sibling rivalry with their younger brother and former bandmate. The queen’s doppelganger was seen at Worthy Farm on the fourth day
One person in particular, however, has caused a stir among viewers at home after BBC footage showed a woman in the crowd who looked strikingly like the queen.
During the Friday night (June 24) coverage of the Robert Plant and Alison Krauss show, the camera panning people in the audience, including the woman in a blue raincoat and sunglasses, with resemblance of the queen.
A viewer shared a snippet of the moment on Twitter, writing, “Delighted to see the Queen enjoying a bit of Robert Plant in Glastonbury.”

Who is Big Jeff?
The Bristol band performed at Worthy Farm on Friday night (June 24) while Self Estiem, real name Rebecca Lucy Taylor, took to the stage on Saturday afternoon (June 25).
Idles lead singer Joe Talbot dedicated the song “A Hymn” to Big Jeff, who is currently in the hospital after suffering severe burns in a house fire.
“This next song goes to our brother and our friend Big Jeff,” Talbot said. “It’s all we want to represent, it’s all that is fandom of music and it’s all that is love. That’s for you Big Jeff.”
The special screams have left a lot of people curious to know who Big Jeff is.
