To understand the importance of these systems, and systems like them, we need to understand how this war is being fought.
It is now an artillery battle. For the most part, the way the Russians work is that they exploit places to submit. They have these huge shell artillery shells, as well as multiple rocket launch systems.
So far the Russians have had an advantage in this, have more systems, have more ammunition and have better supply lines in the areas where these battles are taking place.
The idea is that the Americans will provide the Ukrainian army with game-changing rocket systems that are twice as powerful as Russian systems and are much more accurate.
While Russian systems are made by hand, by trajectory and estimates, they use the GPS guide.
If the Ukrainians can take them to the front, it will allow them to fire, out of range and therefore ultimately destroy Russian artillery.
