Max Verstappen was the fastest driver on the first day of racing in Montreal, with the championship leader leading the time sheets in the second training session of the Canadian Grand Prix this weekend.

With the soft tire, with cooler temperatures, Verstappen set a time of 1m 14.127s to lead rival Charles Leclerc by 0.081s. Carlos Sainz, on the other Ferrari, was 0.225 seconds behind Verstappen in the P3.
