Xiaomi’s new flagship is finally here. The Xiaomi 12S Ultra offers a much improved camera with the help of Leica and the latest Snapdragon power.

The other two cameras on the back of the Xiaomi 12S Ultra carry the reliable Sony IMX586 1 / 2.0-inch 48 MP sensor, used in the Mi 11 Ultra. The ultrarawide is a 13mm f / 2.2 with autofocus and macro capabilities. The telephoto camera has a 120 mm f / 4.1 periscope. Both capture 12 MP still images with 1.6 µm pixels after binning.
The Xiaomi 12S Ultra can capture high-efficiency 8-bit JPEG or HEIF files, as well as 10-bit DNG RAW files with an embedded profile for Adobe’s Lightroom.
In terms of video, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra is the first Android phone to support Dolby Vision HDR recording. 10-bit h.265 videos are captured in HLG with the Rec.2020 color space in both 4K and FullHD. In 4K, you get 30 fps and 60 fps up to 80 Mbps, while in 1080p you get 60 fps at 55 Mbps and 30 fps at 35 Mbps.

Xiaomi boasts that the 12S Ultra features an innovative 3D liquid cooling mechanism, which uses a capillary network to pump condensed coolant to the opposite side of the hot zone.
Like the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, the 12S Ultra offers Harman Kardon-adjusted stereo speakers, with support for Dolby Atmos. The software at the top is MIUI 13 on Android 12.
The Xiaomi 12S Ultra weighs 225 g and is water and dust resistant IP68. It comes in classic black and greenish green with a leather-like back finish.
