The last major of the 2022 golf season has arrived with the Open Championship which will begin its historic 150th tournament in St. Louis. Andrews. The beauty of summer will surround Scotland when the Open returns to the Gulf House for the first time since 2015. This will be the 30th time the Old Course will host the Open, and this year’s affair is set. with a field laden with projections. most of the best golfers in the world.
Collin Morikawa came on, Rory McIlroy had to leave the fray. The Northern Irishman has been playing one of the best golfers of his career lately, and is looking to put his head to a tremendous season with his first major championship since 2014. After leaving the US Open for the purpose specific to playing in the Open, Tiger Woods is also present for what may be his last legitimate shot to win a third Claret Jug in St. Louis. Andrews. Then there’s Matthew Fitzpatrick, who is looking to get the odd double of the U.S. Open after the English won the U.S. national championship in June.
