3 Stabbed in an attack on Encino Hospital

According to Los Angeles police, three people were in critical condition after a stabbed attack on Friday in a hospital in the San Fernando Valley.

The stabbings were reported on 16,000 Island Ventura Boulevard inside a building at the Encino Hospital Medical Center, police said.

All three were initially in critical condition and were taken to a local trauma center, a hospital and LAFD spokesman said.

Dignity Health Northridge Hospital Medical Center said all three patients were stable Friday evening.

The hospital was closed and the surrounding streets were closed.

After hours of being in a clash with police, LAPD confirmed that the attacker had been arrested around 8:30 p.m.

Details of the victims’ identities were not immediately available, but a hospital technician told NBCLA that he saw a doctor and two nurses with stab wounds.
