“Both were visiting the address of Coolum Street and friends of the owner, a woman, who has now spoken to investigators.”
Cotten has since been charged with murder.
Cotten has appeared in court this morning where he has not applied for bail and the case has been postponed until July.
It is unclear why Cotten and McIntosh were on the property.

Both the 58-year-old man and the homeowner are collaborating in the consultations.
A crime scene has been set up on the Dicky Beach property and homicide investigators are involved in the investigation.
Tributes have flowed on social media for McIntosh, who has been described as a loyal friend with a big heart and a smile.
