Amazon is hosting another Prime Day event this year, called the Amazon Prime Early Access Sale, and it’s giving shoppers their first chance to save on holiday purchases from a major retailer. Similar to the first Prime Day, it will last for two days and you’ll find a huge selection of deals and offers in the Amazon storefront, including savings on tech, clothing, video games, groceries and much, much more.

For our coverage, we focus entirely on Apple and Apple-related discounts that can be purchased during this 48-hour event on Amazon. Starting today, that includes deals on AirPods, Apple Watch, iPad, iPad Air, and MacBook Pro.
As usual with Prime Day deals, these sales are very time-sensitive, so the sales listed below can disappear quickly, and new ones can appear even faster. With that in mind, we’ll keep this article updated throughout the event and keep an eye on the front page of MacRumors as we’ll be posting particularly great deals in separate articles this week.
Finally, and perhaps most importantly, early access to Amazon Prime requires you to have an Amazon Prime membership to take advantage of the discounts. Amazon Prime offers a one-month free trial, otherwise it costs $14.99 per month or $139.00 per year.
AirPods
For the past few years, one of the most popular discounts during the holidays is on Apple AirPods. Amazon is officially kicking off this trend in 2022 with solid discounts on AirPods 2 and AirPods Pro 2.
Prices start at $89.99 for AirPods 2 ($39 off), then rise to $223.24 for AirPods Pro 2 ($25.86 off). [Update: The $223.24 AirPods Pro 2 price is an additional drop beyond the previous deal from earlier today.]
These are some of the lowest prices of the year, and in the case of the AirPods Pro 2, this is now the lowest price we’ve tracked. Each offer has been automatically applied, so you won’t need a coupon.
Apple TV 4K
During Prime Day this summer, Amazon introduced a massive discount on the Apple TV 4K, and this device is now available for $109.99, down from $179.00. This model actually hit an all-time low of $104.49 today, but it’s still a great price. The 64GB model is also available for $128.99 after going down to $123.49, but that’s still a very substantial deal compared to the regular price of $199.00 for this model.
[Update: Prices have fluctuated multiple times today, but have remained excellent discounts compared to normal pricing.]
Apple Watch
Another item that’s heavily discounted during Prime Early Access is the Apple Watch, with the first discounts on the Apple Watch Series 8 this week.
GPS Series 8 of 41 mm
Starting with the Apple Watch Series 8 GPS 41mm, this model is on sale for $349.00, down from $399.00. It is available in (PRODUCT) RED, Midnight and Silver aluminum color options, and the Midnight version is in particularly low stock.
GPS Series 8 of 45 mm
Second, the Apple Watch Series 8 GPS 45mm is discounted to $379.00, down from $429.00. It is available in (PRODUCT) RED, Silver and Starlight, and for this model the Silver is the one with low stock at the time of writing.
iPad (2021)
Amazon has the 64GB Wi-Fi iPad for $269.00 today, down from $329.00. This is a new all-time low price on the 10.2-inch iPad.
For a mobile option, there’s also the 64GB iPad Mobile for $399.00, down from $459.00. This offer is a record low price and is available in silver and space gray colors.
iPad Air (2022)
All five color options of the 2022 iPad Air 64GB Wi-Fi are available for $519.00, down from $599.00. This is another new record low price. The four-color 256GB Wi-Fi model is on sale for $669.00, down from an all-time low price of $749.00.
