Arsenal and Manchester United could be tied in a battle to sign Italian striker Andrea Belotti for free this summer. The 28-year-old is now a free agent after leaving Torino in Serie A after the expiration of his contract.
Belotti made headlines last spring when he was offered a major move in the Premier League. The Gunners and Red Devils were among the clubs that were linked with the ace, while it was also rumored that those like Tottenham, Chelsea, Everton and West Ham were interested in him.
But he stayed at Torino one last season, during which he scored eight goals in 23 games amid a series of injury problems.
Torino wanted to keep the ace and are said to have made several attempts to tie him to a new deal. But instead, he chose to spend time in his career at the Estadio Olimpico Grande Torino and look for a new club.

Belotti has played 44 times for Italy throughout his career and has scored 12 goals in those matches. He played in every match except one at Euro 2020 last summer when his country defeated England in the final to be crowned European champions. And now it looks like he will get a big contract.
Earlier this year, it was reported that West Ham had made an ace move and offered him a three-year contract to move to East London. The Hammers finished seventh in the Premier League last season and are ready to get a new leader to offer competition to Michail Antonio.
Meanwhile, AC Milan, Atalanta and Atletico Madrid were said to be chasing the Italian, who amassed 113 goals and 28 assists during his seven years at Torino. So Arsenal and United could be disappointed if they do not act quickly.
