Judge Harrison is now going into other alleged sightings of Lynette Dawson over the years.
Former neighbors of the Dawsons claimed they saw Lyn working at Rockcastle Hospital in 1984.
However, by that time, Lyn’s nursing license would have expired, the judge said.
Another man testified during the trial that he saw Lyn sitting alone at a table in Warner’s Bay in Lake Macquarie, NSW “sometime in 1982”.
The man said he came forward to Chris Dawson’s lawyers after seeing a story about the case on A Current Affair.
Judge Harrison said: “I find it very difficult to accept a chance meeting with a stranger in 1982” without any additional context that would “make the occasion remarkable”.
“It just defies the human experience,” he said.
