Overwatch 2 Season 2 starts today and one of the biggest additions to the game is a new hero. Ramattra is a tank that can change shape between omni mode and nemesis mode and access different abilities in each. He’s a fun (but possibly overpowered) character with some neat abilities.

However, Overwatch 2 players will not automatically have access to the new tank when the season starts. There are two ways to unlock Ramattra in Overwatch 2 Season 2.
If you want to use it in all game modes right away, you’ll need to pay for the premium Battle Pass for Season 2. This costs 1,000 Overwatch Coins, the equivalent of $10. Along with instant access to Ramattra, you’ll be able to earn cosmetics in all 80 main levels of the Battle Pass, including this season’s mythic skin, Zeus Junker Queen.
The other way to unlock Ramattra is through the free Battle Pass track. While new players were required to reach level 55 to unlock Kiriko in Season 1, you will need to reach level 45 for the free pass. Overwatch 2 game director Aaron Keller said some of the weekly challenges will also be easier to complete, helping you level up faster.
If you miss unlocking Ramattra during Season 2, you will be able to do so through challenges in future seasons.
