James Corden was reportedly ambushed by another cyclist when the star got off his bike in London on Monday after he nearly lost the other cyclist.

The 43-year-old host of the chat show is said to have strayed to lose the other cyclist who cut him off, and James nearly lost the other street traffic when he fell.

In a video obtained by the Sun, he was seen picking up his rental bike while 46-year-old Julia found it okay.

James is said to have been heard insulting the other cyclist after the incident happened at 10am.

A spectator told the newspaper: “Corden was smoking. This young cyclist just crossed the road and sent him flying.

“I really must have taken him by surprise. He had no cuts or bruises, but he must have hurt.

It was recently announced that James, who has returned from a holiday in the south of France with his wife Julia last week, would leave his role as host of The Late Late Show in the United States.

He fought back tears as he explained to viewers why he has decided to quit his job.

The TV star plans to step down from the coveted role of host in the summer of 2023.

He said in a video, “Seven and a half years ago, I started presenting this show. And there’s no other way to say it, it’s changed my life. I love it.

‘I love all the people who work here. I am very proud of what we have achieved. It has gone beyond my wildest and wildest dreams. So I am pleased to announce today that I have signed a new contract to continue organizing The Late Late Show.

“When I started this journey, it would always be this. It would be a journey, an adventure. I never saw it as my final destination, you know ?.

“And I never want this show to stay in your welcome in any way. I always want to love doing it. And I really think in a year’s time it will be a good time to move on and see what else there can be.”

Gavin and Stacey’s star insisted she still has “a year to go,” but she shed tears as she talked about leaving.

He continued: “We are all determined to make this the best year we have ever had doing this show. We will come out with a bang.

“There will be carpools, and pedestrian crossings, and sketches and other surprises.

‘And there will be tears. There will be so many tears. Because this has been the hardest decision I’ve had to make, it really has.

“I’ve never taken this job for granted. Always. Not once. And … the fact that you look at us at home.

‘Or look at us online. Wherever you are, all over the world. The fact that we can try to entertain you and spend time with you is an absolute privilege for me and for all the people who do this show. “
