Netizens flood Twitter with memes as Instagram falls again

Instagram users in different parts of the world apparently faced an outage in the photo-sharing app’s services on Thursday night. Netizens were reportedly unable to log in, load their feed or send messages. People took to Twitter to express their emotions and #instagramdown soon started trending. From memes mocking the app closing immediately after opening to Instagram employees struggling to fix the bug, there were plenty of hilarious reactions on Twitter.

Instagram’s Twitter handle also confirmed the issue and apologized for the inconvenience. “We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing Instagram. We’re working to get things back to normal as soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience and please wait! #instagramdown,” the tweet read.

After an hour, Instagram Comms tweeted that the issue has been resolved. “And we are back! We’ve fixed the issue that caused today’s outage and apologize for the inconvenience,” Instagram Comms tweeted.
