Prince William is “burning” with anger over claims made by Prince Harry in his leaked memoirs but “would never retaliate”, close friends of the Prince of Wales have said.
William’s confidant described him as a “sitting duck” amid the copious revelations made by the Duke of Sussex in his new book Spare, a memoir dominated by his rivalry with his brother and the death of his mother, the princess Diana, in 1997.
Hinting at the royal mood behind closed doors, a friend told The Sunday Times that the Prince of Wales had kept quiet “for the sake of his family and the country”. “William is a sitting duck because Harry knows he won’t retaliate.
