Redmi Watch 3 and Redmi Band 2 launch with SpO2 sensor and NFC

The Redmi Watch 3 and Redmi Band 2 wearables are now available in China. The Watch 3 has a larger 1.75-inch (~44mm) AMOLED display, with support for GPS and Bluetooth calling. The smaller Band 2 weighs just 14.9g (~0.5oz), and both smartwatches have SpO2 monitors and the ability to make payments via NFC.

Redmi Watch 3 and Redmi Band 2 have been launched in China. The Watch 3 is the larger of the two wearables, with a 1.75-inch (~44mm) AMOLED display and a 60Hz refresh rate. The lightweight gadget weighs 37g (~1.3oz). The device has features such as Bluetooth calling and a voice assistant. Plus, you can track your movement with GPS support and over 121 exercise modes. The watch is expected to last 12 days on standby or seven days with heavy use.

The smaller Redmi Band 2 has a 1.47-inch (~37mm) display. The slim 9.99mm (~0.39in) body helps keep the device light, weighing in at 14.9g (~0.5oz). This model has a battery life of up to 14 days or six days with heavier use. You can track your exercise through more than 30 activities, check weather reports or find your phone with the watch. Both smartwatches have NFC, which lets you make payments and health tools like blood oxygen level (SpO2) and heart rate sensors.

You can buy the Redmi Watch 3 in China for 499 Yuan (~US$72) and the Redmi Band 2 is available for the discounted price of 159 Yuan (~US$23); the cheapest laptop typically retails for 169 Yuan (~US$24). Both smartwatches are currently available in black and white colors, with more colors expected later. It’s not clear if or when these devices will be available in other markets.
