Shots fired as ‘some people’ try to break into west PEI home

Multiple shots were fired at a home during an attempted break-in in western PEI Wednesday night, RCMP said.

Two people inside the home on Clark Road in St. Roch called police about 9:30 p.m., said Const. Gavin Moore.

“Some people had attended that residence and tried to enter the house, but were unsuccessful. The suspects, before leaving, fired a firearm at the residence.”

No one was injured, Moore said.

Prince’s District general duty officers went to the scene about six kilometers from Tignish, along with the police dog service, the RCMP’s Major Crime Unit and Prince’s District Joint Force Operations.
