England captain Harry Kane was able to train with his teammates on Wednesday, raising hopes he will be fit for Friday’s World Cup group game against the United States.
A scan was due to take place on Wednesday to assess the damage, but England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford said the striker was “fine”.
“I think it’s good,” Pickford said.
“I’m sure he’s fine. He was on the grass with us today, which is fine. He’s our captain.”

Tottenham’s Kane has scored 51 goals in 76 games for the Three Lions.
Midfielder James Maddison missed the Iran game as he recovers from a knee problem, while defender Harry Maguire was ruled out with illness on Monday.
Maddison did not train with the rest of the squad on Wednesday but Maguire took part.
Callum Wilson did not train in a light session with the rest of the substitutes at England’s Al Wakrah training base on Wednesday but is not considered a fitness doubt.
