The defunct Xbox 360 title will be Reborn

Ascend: Hand of Kul, an Xbox 360 title that was shut down and delisted eight years ago, is getting a new version, developer Outer Heaven Studios has announced. However, the platforms have not yet been confirmed.

Free-to-play action RPG Ascend: Hand of Kul was first released on Xbox 360 in 2013. A year later, developer Signal Studio announced that publisher Microsoft had “discontinued support for Ascend: Hand of Kul on Xbox 360 and had removed it. the game from the Xbox Live Marketplace.” Now, Ascend: Hand of Kul is ready for a new version with the new name, Ascend: Reborn.

As announced on Twitter, the game’s official account revealed that Outer Heaven Studios has partnered with the original game’s developer, Signal Studios, to release the game once again. “Outer Heaven Studios is excited to announce that we are partnering with Signal Studios to re-release Ascend: Hand of Kul as “Ascend: Reborn.” Follow us on social media to keep up with our progress and to get more about this beloved game.” Shortly after the announcement, Signal Studios released a screenshot of the new game, which we’ve embedded above.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any other information about Ascend: Reborn. Platforms and release date have not been announced.

Ascend: Hand of Kul was a third-person action RPG that was one of the first free-to-play games on the Xbox 360. As a Chaos warrior, you would fight against “immortal titans while fending off rival attacks. players and establishing your influence in the Ascend global conflict.” At the time, the game received average reviews from critics, but gamers received slightly better reviews.
