The Titans season is going in the wrong direction and life is no easier with the dangerous Rabbitohs team arriving at the Cbus Super Stadium on Saturday.
Gold Coast have lost seven of their last eight games to fall to 15th on the ladder with only the Bulldogs below, while the Souths are eighth with a 6-6 record and have star star Latrell Mitchell about to return .
The Rabbitohs haven’t fully hit their straps yet, but they are able to pull teams out of the park on their day, as they demonstrated in an eight-try play against the Wests Tigers before the farewell.
The Titans ’leaked defense has yielded 156 points in their last five games and it’s hard to see them putting the tongs on Cody Walker, Campbell Graham and Alex Johnston if they jump on a solid foundation up front.

Sportsbet Betting Preview: Titans v Rabbitohs
The Rundown
Team news
Titans: AJ Brimson (COVID Protocols) was late in the game on Friday night, with Jamayne Isaako on the sidelines. Patron Tino Fa’asuamaleaui will return from Origin One, but fell back on the bench on match day with Moeaki Fotuaika to start the block.
Jayden Campbell is preparing for a long stay on the sidelines with a hamstring injury, while winger Corey Thompson (knee) is also out, replaced by Greg Marzhew.
Rabbitohs: The Rabbitohs are 1-17 with no late changes. Cameron Murray and Damien Cook return after their Origin performances Wednesday night, with Cook ready to share minutes with young hooker Peter Mamouzelos who was named on the bench. Tevita Tatola will also return with a header with Mark Nicholls on the bench.
Key match
Moeaki Fotuaika vs. Mark Nicholls: Big Mo went over 35 minutes against the Cowboys on his return from an ankle injury and will look to increase his minutes and impact against the powerful Bunnies pack. Nicholls has had his own injury dramas this season, losing seven games with an ankle problem before returning with a 127-meter run against the Tigers in round 12. If the Titans want to turn their season around, they should start in strong exchanges with Fotuaika, Jarrod Wallace and Isaac Liu lead the way, but they will have to overtake Nicholls and Thomas Burgess, a man of reference to do so.
Statistical attack
Prolific test scorer Alex Johnston has accumulated 16 line breaks in 12 games, just behind Shark Ronaldo Mulitalo (18). The Titans ’main line breaker is David Fifita with seven in nine games.
